Air Côte d’Ivoire Signs Firm Order for Two Airbus A330neos

Air Côte d’Ivoire has signed a firm order for two Airbus A330neos to support their growth strategy. The airline currently operates a fleet of six Airbus aircraft including one A320neo, two A320ceos and three A319s.

On Tuesday (October 25, 2022), Airbus announced that Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national carrier of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, his signed a firm order for two A330neos to support their growth strategy. The agreement was signed at a ceremony in Toulouse attended by Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Transport, Amadou Koné, Air Côte d’Ivoire’s CEO, Laurent Loukou, the carrier’s Board President, General Abdoulaye Coulibaly, and Airbus’ Executive Vice President – Programmes and Services, Phillipe Mhun.

Air Côte d’Ivoire currently operates a fleet of single-aisle Airbus aircraft including one A320neo, two A320ceos and three Airbus A319s. The new widebody A330neos will enable the carrier to efficiently grow their network on long-haul routes, as part of the company’s transcontinental expansion strategy. While operating alongside their Airbus single-aisle fleet, Air Côte d’Ivoire will benefit from substantial operational savings and the added flexibility generated by Airbus’ unique fleet Family commonality.
 

The latest generation of the popular widebody A330 aircraft, the Airbus A330neo incorporates the newest generation engines with a new wing, along with advanced aerodynamic innovations to deliver a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The A330neo has a range of 7,200 nautical miles (13,300 km), and features the award-winning Airspace cabin, offering guests an elevated level of comfort, ambience and design. The aircraft offers more personal space, larger overhead bins, and a new ambient lighting system. At the end of September 2022, the Airbus A330neo had won over 275 firm orders from more than 20 customers worldwide.
