Air Canada Cargo to Start Scheduled Service to Liege and Basel

Air Canada Cargo will Expand their freighter network with twice weekly service to Liege, expanding to three weekly flights later this year, and two weekly flights to Basel. Liege service will begin in February, while Basel flights are scheduled to start in April.

On Tuesday (January 24, 2023), Air Canada Cargo announced an expansion of their freighter network with new scheduled service to Liege and Basel. Both flights will originate in Toronto and will have an interim stop in Halifax. Liege service will be operated twice weekly from February, expanding to three weekly flights later this year, while Basel service will operate twice weekly from April. Basel is one of Europe’s premier pharmaceutical hubs. The new routes announced today are in addition to Air Canada Cargo’s recent start of service to Dallas, Atlanta and Bogota.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Air Canada Cargo’s Managing Director – Commercial, Matthieu Casey, said,

“Air Canada Cargo continues to expand its freighter network to provide customers with reliable, year-round service that connects key European markets with Air Canada and Air Canada Cargo’s global network through its Toronto hub.”
