Aeromexico Signs Agreement With Air Lease Corporation for Nine New Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft

Aeromexico has signed long-term lease agreements with Air Lease Corporation for nine new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft including two 737-8s and seven 737-9s. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between July 2022 and August 2023 from ALC’s orderbook with Boeing.

On Friday (March 25, 2022) Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced that Aeromexico has signed long-term lease agreements for nine Boeing 737 MAX aircraft including two 737-8s and seven 737-9s. The aircraft will be delivered from ALC’s order book with Boeing from July 2022 through August 2023.

In Friday’s announcment, Aeromexico’s CEO, Dr. Andres Conesa, said,

“Aeromexico is delighted once again to partner with ALC to help modernize our fleet with new fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly Boeing aircraft in 2022 and 2023.”

Also commenting on the new lease agreements, Air Lease Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Steven Udvar-Házy, said,

“Air Lease Corporation is Aeromexico’s largest lessor, and we are pleased to further our relationship with the airline with these nine new Boeing 737 aircraft lease placements. The 737 offers the most modern, fuel-efficient technology to enhance the global capabilities of Mexico’s premier airline.”
